Kaiya and Aiyana as panelists at the 9th annual 2018 Connect Conference in Calgary.  The theme was Truth and Reconciliation, as well as cultural disconnection, poverty, addictions, and grief.

After their success in speaking about their project at We Day Alberta last year, Kaiya and Aiyana spoke at Canada 150th We Day celebration on Parliament Hill in July, 2017.

Aiyana was nominated for a Youth of Distinction Award (YODA) by Youth Central in the advocacy category. She is being recognized for her Footprints project, as well as her other advocacy efforts throughout the years.
She was a finalist having been selected from 175 entries! Way to go A!

First Annual Southern Alberta Indigenous Youth Awards (SAIYA)

We are pleased to announce that Kaiya and Aiyana won a SAIYA in the category of Visionary. Please come to the award ceremony on November 25, 2017 at Mount Royal University from 7-9 p.m. as we celebrate Indigenous youth!  For tickets www.saiyawards.com  
Their family is pleased to announce that they will be sponsoring the Visionary award in 2018 awards.

​The girls spoke at WE Day Alberta yesterday. They gave an inspirational talk about Footprints Projects to 18,000 of their peers about how, despite challenges, youth can make a difference!
